Hi, We are currently busy with our Ancestral visas (I'm a dependant my husband is the main applicant). We are going to do our biometrics on the 1 Feb. Then of course it's the wait for the actual visa. My problem is I applied for my South African passport in Jan 2023. After a long wait and many back and forth I was told that there was a fingerprint issue. I applied again in Nov 2023. I'm still waiting. My current one expires on the 5 July. I dont live in South Africa I currently reside in the czech republic). The guy at the SA embassy in Prague said he will write a letter explaining I have already applied and will send it to the UK once he receives it. Will I still be allowed to enter on a nearly expired passport.
